Through climbing-mountains experience in Himalayas, we learned how valuable a team work is to accomplish something, which cannot be done by individuals.
In this project, we believe our team works can provide local residents with not only support in materials but also continuous support in increasing their self-reliance.
・To establish area-based industry/recycling-oriented industry: “No more thinning the forests”
・To protect forest resources by development of fuels applying bamboo, which is known as fast-growing grasses
・To support economic self-reliance with encouraging local industries and manufactures
・To contribute to education of younger children by promotion of cash earnings
・To protect environment in the developing countries, and to educate Japanese people to respect recycling-oriented society through eco-tourism
(1)To build one plant in one village per year using a charcoal kiln which designates bamboo as fuels, and producing bio briquette which is carbonized bamboo or materials of construction
(2)To instruct how to convert charcoal into biomass (such as coal bio briquette)
To install the processing equipments
(3)To instruct how to make the tools (such as a portable clay cooking stove) using biomass at homes and shops in the cities
To install the equipments of the production of those tools
(4)To establish a distribution route
(5)To plan eco-tourism which lead Japanese participants to acquire and experience the importance of environment protection in the developing countries and recycling-oriented society with helping above activities (1) to (4)
